Last weekend was the annual Indiana AAU Cheer State and Midwest Invitational. The invitational hosted 14 teams adding up to a total of 280 athletes, making it the largest event they have hosted. Participants performed their routines for a packed crowd in a large gym. The competition was broken into 3 sessions starting at 11 am and ending at 3:30PM on Saturday.

ALL cheerleading competitions should be full of excitement and spirit above all else. This cheer event was no exception to that rule. Athletes fully displayed their amazing athleticism while also providing the crowd with the full picture of how much they love their sport. Event hosts made banners with "Cheer Sayings” to go on back of competition mats reading:  "I  love AAU Cheerleading,”  with the date and location to commemorate the event. Each team was given one to take home with them at the end of the competition.

Next year Vincennes University PE Complex will host the event with two floors of the complex reserved specifically for the competition. Congratulations to all of the AAU Cheerleading members who competed!
