This award is named after former AAU President and Vice President of the US Olympic Committee, Joel Ferrell. Ferrell was chair of the AAU Junior Olympic Program for many years and was very instrumental in the growth of these Games. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding accomplishments and sportsmanship of an athlete representing each official sport at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
Lynch, of the Cheer Station Senior Level 5 Flyers. attends St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School and has participated in competitive cheerleading for five years.
Cheer Station took first place in this year’s AAU Junior Olympic Games in the Stunt Team category and Lynch went on to finish first in the Cheer Solo and Tumble Divisions. She hopes to continue her competitive cheerleading in college, and eventually become a teacher.
The AAU Cheerleading Committee would like to congratulate Cici and wish her luck in her future endeavors.
